ASSOCIATION for the truth about the murder of SOPHIE TOSCAN DU PLANTIER born BOUNIOL

The Association for the truth about the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier notes the decision of the High Court of Justice to accept the appeal to the Irish Supreme Court in line with the arguments of the defendant.

We recognize that the decision of the High Court follows the normal procedure of justice in Ireland.

We are surprised that the reason given by Justice Peart for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court is an issue already discussed and rejected by his decision of 18 March 2011.

We express the hope that the Supreme Court decides quickly given that the question was fully discussed by the High Court.

We note this with regret, because the normal deadline, set by the European decision of 2002 on the European Arrest Warrant, has long been passed.

The family of Sophie Toscan du Plantier, friends, and all persons concerned about justice, in Ireland, France and elsewhere, can not accept, that almost 15 years after this heinous murder, one has to wait so long for the truth be finally known and that justice done.

Our reaction in response to the decision of the High Court of Justice to accept the appeal to the Irish Supreme Court
